Telegram: Ads Reception and Distribution
Ads can be sent to the website from Telegram: from your groups and channels, or from a bot's private messages. The bot accepts text and photos, helps you choose a category, the AI fetches the price and title, and the ad is either moderated or published immediately.
Who is this suitable for?
Classifieds that already have live Telegram groups. For stores, this allows for quickly adding products from your phone.
What you will need#
- Your bot: create it in Telegram with @BotFather using the
/newbotcommand and copy the token. - For groups and channels, add the bot as an administrator with the right to read and post messages.
- The group or channel's chat_id (a number like
-1001234567890). The @userinfobot bot or any similar bot will suggest it.
Steps#
Step 1. Connect reception from a group or channel#
Settings → Telegram and WhatsApp → "Telegram Reception Bot." Select the type (group or channel), enter the bot token and chat_id, and click "Add source." The bot will begin reading new messages: each message with text and a photo becomes an ad.
Step 2. Enable the bot's private messages#
In the "Bot PM - Ad Receiving" section, click "Enable PM Receiving." People open the bot, click "Start," and send an ad in a single message. The welcome text can be written or generated by the AI.
Step 3. Set up an AI consultant#
The "AI Acceptance Consultant" field contains rules for the bot: what's required in the listing (price, city, photo) and what's prohibited. The bot will prompt the author about missing items and automatically extract the price and title from the text.
Step 4. Check it out#
Submit a test ad to the bot. It will appear in your account under the "Pending Moderation" tab (or directly under "Active" if moderation is disabled).
How it works for the author#
- The author sends text and photos.
- The bot offers to select a category using buttons (if the AI auto-category is disabled or confirmation is required).
- The ad is posted to the website. The author receives a "Published" message with a link to the website and, if auto-publishing is enabled, a link to the post in the channel.
- The author can mark the ad as sold or edit it through the bot.
Submission via bot only#
"Accept ads only via chatbot" toggle: the "+" button on the website links to the bot's private messages (Telegram and/or WhatsApp). Convenient if you want to receive all authors via messenger.
Mandatory channel subscription#
"Required Channel Subscription" section: Enter the channel's @name or chat_id and click "Check and Connect." Only channel subscribers will be able to post an ad in the bot's private messages. The bot must be a channel admin.
Sending a newsletter to bot subscribers#
Everyone who clicked "Start" in the bot's private messages will be added to the recipient database. The "Broadcast to Bot Subscribers" section: write the text (using Telegram formatting), attach a photo or video, click "Send Broadcast," and confirm the number of recipients. The broadcast's progress is visible in real time, and you can stop it. The history is below. Those who blocked the bot will not receive the broadcast.
Questions and answers#
The bot doesn't see messages in the group#
Check that the bot is a group administrator. For regular groups, the bot must have "privacy mode" disabled for @BotFather (/setprivacy → Disable) or be an administrator.
Is it possible to use one bot for both receiving and auto-publishing?#
Yes. The same token can be specified for both the receipt and the auto-post.
The token is shown as dots. How can I check if it's working?#
The "Verify Token" button in the auto-publishing block. Tokens are stored encrypted.
What does an AI consultant do if the tariff is non-AI?#
The bot accepts ads without AI prompts: the author selects the category using buttons, and the price and title are determined by simple rules.
