Monthly Accounting System for an Online Store: The lpkelektro.cz Case Study

On May 30, a Czech company contacted us: they sell household appliances that customers had legally returned within 15 days. They have a large selection, warehouses scattered throughout the Czech Republic, and everything was recorded manually. What was lpkelektro.cz's mission?

Assemble an accounting system for a warehouse network, link it to an online platform, automate retail sales (cash registers), set up in-depth analytics, and connect retail equipment such as barcode scanners and printers. All within a tight deadline.

The initial requirements were challenging: a huge product range, a distribution center, and warehouses in various cities across the Czech Republic. The equipment was sold through retail outlets, and a full-fledged online channel didn't yet exist—it had to be built and linked to accounting.

Without retail, analytics, and equipment, the accounting system would remain just a database, useless to salespeople on the ground. The screenshot above shows the mobile admin panel: each product has its own status, warehouse, brand, and category, all searchable by barcode or serial number directly from the salesperson's phone.

What was built in a month: accounting, store, retail, equipment

In one month, we completed four layers of a single task: the accounting module, the online store, the retail equipment section, and testing. There were no pauses between stages. Here's how the project progressed:

1. 05.06 - the technical specifications were approved.
2. June 14 - completed the most difficult module: warehouse and product accounting.
3. June 25 – The lpkelektro.cz online platform was completed. Testing continued in parallel throughout this time; it wasn't a separate stage at the end.
4. 30.06 - the customer signed the certificate of completion of work.

From the May 30th request to the signed agreement on June 30th—it took exactly one month to build an accounting system for distributed retail and a fully functional online store. The ready-made module immediately consolidates key metrics into a single screen. We won't share the actual client dashboard figures here—these are their operational data, not ours.

How retail analytics and automation work

The dashboard and graphs are built from the same data the cashier sees at the checkout: inventory balances, sales, and returns are collected automatically in one place. In addition to the metrics cards, there are graphs showing sales by day and the top five categories for the month.

Do you need the same custom development - or is the ready-made mode enough?
